JEWTACT is also disappointed to have to postpone Dr. Ofer Elior's (HUJI/BGU), lecture on medieval Hebrew translations of Euclid.

Congratulations to newly-minted Professor Alexander van der Haven! We are thrilled to announce that our very own Alexander van der Haven has been appointed Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the Department of Archaeology, History, Cultural Studies, and Religion, The University of Bergen, Norway! At Bergen, Alex will be establishing a new and exciting programme on religious minorities. We wish him every success in his new position.

In the annual meeting of the 'Mediterranean Studies Association' in Crete, Yakov Z. Mayer gave a talk on the transmission of Elijah Capsali’s writings in a lecture titled “Textual Transmission and Nomad Scholars in Early Modern Crete.”
