Requirements:
• PhD degree or equivalent.
• Language proficiency in Hebrew, and at least one of the following languages: German, Greek, Latin, Syriac.
• Excellent command of English.
• Academic excellence and dedication to collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
Successful candidates will be expected to:
• Pursue an individual research project directly related to the call topics.
• Contribute entries to our online database of early modern Jewish translations.
• Actively participate in collaborative research ventures.
• Present their research at a weekly seminar.
• Be physically present on campus at BGU at least one full day a week.
• Devote 50% of their work time to the research project.
To apply please submit:
• A cover letter in English describing the proposed research project (3 pages max.).
• A CV including language proficiency and list of publications.
• A writing sample of at least 10 pages (e.g., MA thesis chapter, published articles, conference presentations).
• Two letters of recommendation to be sent directly to: idelsoni@bgu.ac.il.
